Update 12th January 2012 We have found the new coils are not of the correct value, and our supplier is returning all his stock to the manufacturer, so for now it's back to the smaller coils for the kits. Just as well we have stock - so the kits are still available. Update 6th January 2012 We now have another 200 original coils in stock - enough for 50 kits, so we'll be shipping those until they are used up. We still have a backup quantity of the smaller coils as well so we don't anticipate any stock problems for some time. Update 24th October 2011 RAT5 is available once more. The new PCB incorporating the new coils has been tested and the performance is as before. We have managed to keep the price unaltered by supplying capacitors only for the band you plan to use. Click here for ordering info. Update 15th October 2011 We are pleased to announce that we have managed to source a replacement RF coil for RAT5. Initial testing indicates no degradation in performance. The new coils are slightly smaller so the PCB will have to be re-laid. More news very soon, when the kit is available once again News 5th Sept 2011 Unfortunately our supplier of RF coils for this kit has informed us that he is currently unable to obtain further supplies. This is due to the factory in Japan being wiped out in the Tsunami. We are trying hard to find an alternative source of equivalent coils. If we fail, we intend to re-design this part of the circuit as this is our most popular kit, but in the meantime we have no alternative but to suspend deliveries. (unless by some miracle you have 4 x KANK3333 coils, in which case please contact us) The RAT5 is a simple single conversion AM receiver for 80m or 160m.
